Enjoy the Walk

Enjoy the Walk
My heart is set on one good path,
But God pulls me towards another way.
“Why God? I have done all the math,
This is surely the way I say!”
So I resist, knowing He’s mistaken,
My heart has planned my destination.
I see His face, my heart is taken!
Suddenly a wonderful peace is my sensation!
I remember all the good He has done for me,
I say “Jesus is all that I need!”
Where He is, that is where I want to be!
It is only with Him that I am truly freed!
Enjoy the path that He leads me is what I will do.
You are good, my All in All, and I am made for only You!

Truth Seeker

So doubts have filled your mind,
You have decided a God you will never find.
Are you sure this thought is from your wisdom from what you see?
Or does the truth lie more in what you have decided to be?
Your prone to and enjoy what God probably hates,
And find Christ likeness and goodness unobtainable traits.
You find that too much pain and evil are around,
And have decided that a God of love is unlikely to be found.
Ok I think I understand,
I also once stood in this sand.
But how do you deal with the rain?
How do you manage all of life’s pain?
Do think this is how life should be?
Or do you think that satisfaction exist that your heart keeps begging to see?
You search everywhere to find joy,
But find your just a fearful and lonely little boy.
Well at least you have wisdom,
And O let us not forget about your miserable freedom.
Like I said I was once there,
Alone sitting in my throne chair.
Then one day I realized I was a terrible king,
And songs of hurt and pain I could only sing.
But I knew there must be more,
And it turned out there was another door.
A door with a wonderful other side,
A place where pain and evil had died.
But the door was locked and I did not have the key,
Holy and Righteous you must be.
I dropped to that dirty ground,
Weeping was my only sound.
Joy and peace I will never find,
To evil and fear I will always be bind.
The something happened that I can not explain,
I was told a story that sounded insane.
A story confirmed by history,
But surrounded with great mystery.
It was about a man that lived in the middle east,
And some amazing things to say the least.
Made a crazy claim,
God existed and He carried God’s great name.
He also said that he would raise from the dead,
And History confirms that is what Jesus said.
Well the man ended up dying on a Roman tree,
The most horrible death I am told you can see.
Sad story, but it did not end there.
The man Jesus was alive and this caught people’s stare!
This proved he was God and not just a man,
So followers became and worship truly began.
Now you may say this was all a lie,
But then why were his followers so willing to die?
Maybe the Jews took his body to hide,
But wouldn’t they want to show he died?
The Romans would not have got involved,
They simply wanted peace and the problem solved.
So logical Jesus is alive I knew,
And so my knowledge of King Jesus started and grew.
He offered to take all my pain and evil away,
And promised to never leave and always stay.
Better yet, He had a key to that door,
He even helped me up from the dirty floor.
He helped me understand my purpose in life,
And showed me joy through the pain and strife.
He rescued me you could say,
And gives me hope in my day.
My friend he offers the same gift to you,
No longer on guilt and misery must you chew.
I understand you have questions,
And even some understandable reservations.
But we can’t keep avoiding the truth that surrounds,
“Jesus is Alive”  our hearts music sounds.
He is everything we have waited for,
He is everything we adore!
Open your eyes and see the light,
And you will see what is right.
I am praying for all of you that are lost,
And hope you see that Jesus paid the cost!
Go looking honestly for the truth and you will find,
That only Jesus can give rest to your heart and mind!

Let Go!

Its hard to let go,
Its hard to say goodbye to all that you know.
We build and build are kingdom of sand,
Trying to hold on to our small pieces of land.
We like to think that we are in control,
Dictating commands of love and love not to our soul!
Then Truth comes and sheds His light,
King Jesus has declared His might!
Our souls were made only for Him.
He is the perfect treasure, a wonderful gem!
Forget building your kingdom of sand,
And partake in the great kingdom of God that is at hand!
Remember this world is not our destination,
But we are here to bring about a little of God’s final restoration!
So follow the Good Sheppred little lamb,
Remember He is the great “I AM!”
He loves you and cares for you like no one can.
He takes away our great fear of man!
This world will bring hurt and pain,
But the grace of God is a mighty rain!
So stop using your umbrella and get wet,
Feel the amazing joy in the Savior you have met!
Let your kingdom of sand wash away,
And enjoy this wonderful new life you have today!
So Christian let go,
And remember the Truth that you know!

The Guard Of My Heart

My emotions always seem to be running away,
It appears the guards of my heart are taking a personal day.
Oh look at me trying to pass the blame,
It is totally me I fail to tame.
My apathy leads to my broken heart,
And ends with me asking for a restart.
The truth I missed once again,
Blinded and deceived by my sin!
Thankfully my heart does not belong to me,
Only one name on it you will see!
That writing on my heart came with a price,
Forgiving me of all my vice!
How pathetic our response is at times,
Settling to be like silent mimes.
So much truth we have to bring!
So much about we have to sing!
But we settle for the things here,
And remain obedient to fear.
I say “No More!”
It is time that apathy is shown the door!
We must go and proclaim,
King Jesus’ great name.
Yeah, suffering and pain we may meet,
But our destination is at Jesus feet!
Run on Christian, don’t quit the race!
Run the fastest, and most determined pace!
Remember we died at the cross,
Any gain we had is now loss.
It is Christ that lives on,
He is bringing about a new dawn!
Our God loves us more then we know,
Perfect love he will always show.
So tell fears and worries goodbye,
And allow yourself to die.
Die to those things that take the joy of life,
And be His bride, Be His wife!
He has placed His truth all around,
So let Him tune your heart to this beautiful sound!
The sound of perfect love and abundant grace,
Look for the guard of my heart and you will see Jesus face!

On My Way Home

Father you lead my life’s rhyme,
I take one step at a time.
My view of the world is so very small,
But You see the world in light of the fall.
You have demonstrated your love for me,
While I was a sinner you died for me.
Oh I can be such a stupid sheep,
Forgetting that you will always keep.
Sometimes fears consume my thought,
I so quickly forget that I was bought!
Help me rejoice in our walk,
May I never forget that we can always talk.
I know pain and suffering will one day be in the past,
And only Your Glory shall last!
Your Grace I will always need,
On the Bread of Life I will always feed!
Conformity to this world I refuse,
Only obedience to the truth I choose.
Transform me into Jesus, The Son,
Help me finish my run!
Although at times I feel I aimlessly roam,
I know that I am on my way Home!
